A rough-in valve is required

Moen roman tub faucets are trim sets that install over a separate roman tub rough-in valve. If you are replacing an existing Moen roman tub faucet, check whether the valve can stay. If you are installing a new tub, plan the valve and the trim together.

Roman tub or tub filler?

A roman tub faucet sits on the tub deck. A freestanding tub filler rises from the floor beside a freestanding tub. They are different products with different plumbing.

Handshower options

Some roman tub sets include a handshower on a hose that stores in the deck, which makes rinsing the tub and bathing children easier. A diverter sends water between the spout and the handshower.
