Shower Heads & Handheld Showers

Moen shower heads and handheld showers, including rain shower heads, multi-function spray heads, Magnetix magnetic shower heads with magnetic-docking handhelds, and combination kits with slide bars and hoses.

Most models install on a standard 1/2-inch shower arm and need no valve work — they replace an existing head directly. WaterSense and Eco-Performance models are flagged on their product pages along with flow rate in GPM.

Moen shower heads, handheld showers and Magnetix

This collection brings together Moen fixed shower heads, rain heads, handheld showers, slide bar kits and Magnetix handhelds that dock with a magnet. 59 models are in stock right now. Each one connects to the standard 1/2-inch shower arm used in US homes, so you can change the spray without opening the wall.

How to choose

Fixed, handheld or both. A fixed or rain head stays on the arm. A handheld on a hose makes rinsing, cleaning the tub and bathing children easier. Combination units give you an overhead spray and a handheld from one connection.

Magnetix docking. Magnetix handhelds snap back into their dock with a magnet, so they return to place without lining up a clip.

Valve type does not matter. A shower head attaches to the arm after the valve, so the same head works with a Posi-Temp, M-CORE or Moentrol valve. The valve controls temperature and on/off; the head decides the spray.

Flow rate. 2.5 GPM is the federal maximum. Eco-Performance models use less water (1.75 GPM, some 1.5 GPM) and are designed to keep the spray feeling full.

Finish. Match the head to your trim: see chrome shower heads, brushed nickel shower heads, matte black shower heads or the premium shower heads in gold and bronze finishes.

Mounting. Most heads mount on a wall arm. A slide bar kit lets each person set the handheld height. Rain heads are often paired with a longer arm so they sit higher over the bather — see how long a rain shower arm should be.

Questions we get about these

Will a Moen shower head or handheld shower fit my existing shower arm?
Yes in almost every US home: Moen shower heads and handheld showers connect to the standard 1/2-inch shower arm thread, so they install with a wrench and thread tape. Check “What’s in the box” on each product page for the hose, bracket or slide bar.
What is a magnetic shower head?
Moen calls it Magnetix: the handheld docks into its holder with a magnet, so it snaps back into place after use instead of being lined up with a clip.
Does a shower head work with Posi-Temp and M-CORE valves?
Yes. The shower head attaches to the shower arm after the valve, so any Moen head or handheld works with a Posi-Temp, M-CORE or Moentrol valve. The valve sets temperature; the head only shapes the spray.
What does Eco-Performance mean?
It is Moen’s label for lower-flow shower heads (1.75 GPM or less versus the 2.5 GPM federal maximum) that are engineered to keep the spray feeling full while using less water.
