Valve required, sold separately. This is a trim kit (the visible handle, plate and fixtures). It installs on a Moen M-CORE rough-in valve, which is not included. This is an M-CORE 2-Series trim: one handle that controls temperature only (no separate volume control). Before ordering, make sure a compatible Moen M-CORE rough-in valve is already installed, or order one separately.
The Moen UTL181 is a Chateau single-handle valve trim in Chrome for the M-CORE 2-Series pressure-balancing tub/shower system. It is the valve trim version of the series, without a showerhead or tub spout, and mounts over a Moen U130 Series or U140 Series rough-in valve sold separately. It suits a tub/shower trim replacement or a remodel built on the M-CORE platform.
